Kamya Punjabi is a well-known face of Indian television industry. She has worked in many Hindi serials. Majority of her roles are of negative characters, but even with negative roles she has got appreciation for fabulous performances. She has also worked in some Bollywood movies, including the blockbuster Kaho Nah Pyar Hai. However, it should be mentioned here that her endeavor to make a permanent place in the Bollywood has stuck a dead end and she has also aborted the idea of trying to make a forceful entry on the silver screen.

Kamya was born on August 13, 1979 in Mumbai. She was never good at study and always used to think about becoming a model. She was considered as the most beautiful girl of the school and the positive comment about her beauty only strengthened her desire to become a model. 

Her name might be misguiding when it comes to her caste. She is not a Sikh. Her caste is Sindhi Hindu.

She started modeling on her own and after doing some ramp, got a project to work in a music video Mehandi Mehandi in 1997. At this time, people noticed her and soon she became a sort of super star among her fraternity. Unfortunately, even after trying hard she couldn’t get big project in the Bollywood. She could only get a consolation sort of role in Hrithik Roshan starrer Kaho Nah Pyar Hai. The role was quite small and no one noticed her presence. This role has also effectively closed her chance to make any impact on the big screen. She diverted her attention towards burgeoning small screen and got some negative roles. She worked hard in these roles and soon started to be recognized as a VAMP….

Husband of Kamya Punjab

Kamya Punjabi is a divorcee. The name of her ex-husband is Bunty Negi. They were in relationship for around five years and then decided to get married. The marriage couldn’t last long as Bunty seen her in a compromising position with Karan Patel. They fought and Kamya decided to get separated.

Incidently, Kamya and Bunty got divorced just one month before Kamya was slated to make an entry into the Big Boss House in 2013.

Kamya and Bunty has one daughter named Aaraa, who is living with Kamya post-divorce.

Boyfriends of Kamya Punjabi

Kamya has always been in a relationship. She is a kind of woman who can’t live as a single woman. Her first boyfriend was from her school whom she left soon after becoming a star. Her second boyfriend was Bunty Negi with whom she had married and later got divorced.



Her third and most talked about relationship is with Karan Patel. Kamya left everything for Karan, but the relationship couldn’t go anywhere. They broke off and soon Karan married Ankita Bhargava.

Kamya has always said that she has quite soft corner for Karan even when he is a married guy now.
