Qandeel Baloch was a small time Pakitani TV actress. She was tall, beautiful and replete with amazing physical features. She was eying an entry into the Bollywood.

She was outspoken and sometimes challenged the inhuman treatment of women by patriarchal societies of the Indian subcontinent. Because of this reason, she was murdered by none other than her brother. This is termed as a honour killing, and unfortunately, many Pakistani women had celebrated this murder. 

 

Challenging Narendra Modi

In her endeavor to become a part of the Bollywood, she had decided to do something heinous. She had posted a video on her official page where she openly challenged the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

There is no harm in criticizing a politician. In fact, criticism coming from India or Pakistan or from any part of world is always considered good. If we will start to give value to debate and discussions, majority of violence will be eradicated automatically. But, ridiculing a Prime Minister for his background is not done.

She asks Modi – ‘Modi Ji, How is your tea business going on’? 

This is something inhumane. 

Further, she calls the Prime Minister of India – Daro Hamse …. Be Afraid of Us.

She went ahead before India Pakistan match and promised that she will strip all clothes if Pakistan wins. That didn't happen. But, to leverage on some media attentions, she abused Pakistani players, including Shahid Afridi. She didn't know the difference between a war and a game.

Qandeel Baloch was born in 1990 in Pakistan. She has been a daring girl from her school days. In a conservative society like Pakistan, she never wore Hijab. Further, she always flaunt her boyfriends to the public without any fear.

After completing her education, she did some modeling assignment. She had even won Lux Star Award.

She had also worked in some drama and reality show. She was also a singer. She was not good at anything, but her beauty and bold initiatives on public forum always remained a matter of discussion. 


Qandeel Baloch was married and had a child. However, because of some personal issue, her husband had divorced her and kept the son. It is only after getting out of the marriage that Qandeel became an Internet sensation of Pakistan and India.

Qandeel Baloch was not a baloch girl. Some Baloch leaders had previously issued statement regarding this. Actually, she was born in Hira Mandi. Her mother was a prostitute and brother was a pimp. Her brother wanted her to sell body by sleeping with top notch politicians. She always declined, and hence in a fit of rage he killed her.

There is no denying that some of exposures and statements of Qandeel were just idiotic. But, killing is unislamic. And, celebrating the killing, especially by women of Pakistan, is something that shows the true character of Pakistani society.
