Sona Mohapatra, Singer: Education and Profile

Sona Mohapatra is currently the ruling the music world. It is hard to find a comparable female singer and musician in Orrisha at this juncture. Apart from giving her voice and composing songs, she is also quite ease in penning poetry. You can safely say that is the perfect example of a versatile personality and can be called as the lady Kishore Kumar.

I am not writing this post about the profile and wiki sort of stuffs about Sona Mohapatra. Rather, I am talking about her educational credentials. You may say that she might have got training in music and singing. However, that isn’t true. She isn’t a trained musician or singer. Rather, she is a trained engineer.

After completing her schooling education, Sona Mohapatra took admission College of Engineering and Technology in Bhubneshwar. She has done B. Tech from this college and her branch was Instrumentation and Electronics Engineering. She was awarded the best student of her batch. She appeared in the campus interview and was selected by a prominent IT consultancy firm of India. However, she decided to go for further education and took admission in Symbiosis College, Pune. As you might know, this is one of the most reputed business schools of India. She has done MBA with Marketing and Systems.

Her parents were expecting that Sona will get a high profile job after the MBA. However, she again refused the toe the expected line. She decided to pursue her passion. Her networking during MBA had given her some links which she used and that was how Sona Mohapatra as a singer, musician and lyricist was born.
