Anil Singh, MLA Hisua: Profile




Anil Singh is currently the MLA from Hisua constituency of Nawada district. He is from Bhartiya Janta Party.


Anil Singh is known for breaking the strong hold of Late Aditya Singh from the region. As a matter of fact, Aditya Singh was considered as a king of Hisua constituency. However, it all takes the youthful enthusiasm of Anil Singh to decimate the kingdom of Aditya Singh.

 Both Anil Singh and Aditya Singh are bhumihar. However, unlike Aditya Singh, Anil Singh has not shown any opportunistic political moves. You might remember that Aditya Singh had become a minister in Rabri Devi government against the wishes of his Bhumihar voters.



Arrest of Aditya Singh


Anil Singh not only defeated Aditya Singh in 2005 election, but also ensured that he got arrested in multiple of cases. In 2010 Assembly election, Nitu Singh, daughter-in-law of Aditya Singh was fighting election and lost badly.



Anil Singh and Delimitation

You might be surprised to know that Anil Singh is an MLA from Hisua because of the delimitation Commission. With the last delimitation, some panchayats of Akbarpur block was merged to Hisua aseembly. With these panchayat, Fulma was also transferred. Fulma is the village of Anil Singh and hence he became the local leader of Hisua.


Anil Singh is again going to fight from Hisua. This time there isn’t any alliance with JDU. However, he will have the support of LJP. Much depends on the support of dominant Bhumihar caste.
