Frontline Magazine: Review

I am a regular reader of newsmagazine frontline since last three years. It is published from Chennai, India from the house of the Hindu Group. At the outset, I must make it clear that I am fully satisfied with the content and analysis of this newsmagazine and am looking forward to read it for years to come to get myself enlightened.

Though, this magazine is not partial when it comes to analyzing issues. It has an obvious leftist tilt in its analysis. Yet, the research work done by authors is really praiseworthy and then its coverage on varied social issues. These two points are the main reason why I am sticking with this.

Other than its editor-in-chief one is destined to read lots of distinguished authors when reading the frontline. Its authors include many Nobel laureates like Amartya Sen and Joseph Stiglitz and several eminent personalities in different fields. Besides, the regular contributors are also worth praising for their articulate and sharp writing.
Other than social issues, there is regular section of book reviews which includes book from over the world catering to all areas from humanities to science.

Nevertheless, I wish, this magazine would have been more impartial. Mainly, when it comes to dealing with any issues which has anything to do with rightist view then the impartiality and basic credo of journalism are kept aside by this magazine.

In the end, I would like to recommend this magazine to everyone who has any interest to social issues and for Indian student who are preparing for civil services examinations. As far as rating is concerned, my rating for this magazine is 6 out of 10.
